Any breed of coat type cavy can be satinised. These cavies must conform to that cavy breed standard, with the added affect of the satin shimmer. However, the satin cavy must have a soft silky coat, and the coat type cavy must have a coarse, harse coat. Because of this the breed is a bit of a contradiction and not many are shown. |
